Soichiro Yagami is the secondary antagonist of Death Note.
He is voiced by Naoya Uchida in Japanese and by Christopher Britton and Michael Lanning in the English dub.
What Makes Him a Seinen Hero?[]
- Heroic: Soichiro has had a massive part in stopping Kira.
- Stoical: Soichiro is rather serious and doesn't tolerate enthusiasm or casualness.
- Sophisticated/Mature: Soichiro has a mature and responsible personality, and due to his high-profile job, is very sophisticated.
- Strong Sense of Willpower: No matter the odds, Soichiro continues to work on the Kira investigation out of his sense of justice up to his death.
- Reckless: Soichiro was willing to make a deal with Ryuk to get the Death Note back from Mello.
- Has Trust Issues: Soichiro is unable to trust Mello with the Death Note due to him being a mafia operative, and only gave it to him to get his daughter back.
