Sans is the deuteragonist of the indie-game Undertale, serving as a major character in the Neutral Route (his role being dependent on the player's actions), the deuteragonist of the True Pacifist Route, and the heroic main antagonist of the Genocide Route.
What Makes Him a Seinen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Anti-Heroic: Sans accepts Toriel's request to protect Frisk, and warns Frisk not to kill monsters. In Genocide Route, Sans fights against Frisk.
- Apathetic: Sans only fights against Frisk in Genocide Route and he does not shown much concern for the situation even in Genocide Route.
- Stoical: Sans does not show strong emotions throughout the story, and his strongest emotion is threatening Frisk before casually switching to his normal attitude.
- Pessimistic: Claiming that he knows what Frisk did in other timelines, Sans is typically pessimistic, especially compared to Papyrus's optimistic attitude.
- Realistic: In Genocide Route, Sans knows that he technically cannot defeat Frisk for good but wants to make the Player not come back to Genocide Route.
