Kyoko Kirigiri (Kyouko Kirigiri in the Japanese dub) is a character in the Danganronpa franchise, serving as the deurteragonist. She is titled as the Ultimate Detective, however she had forgotten it earlier in the game.
In the original Japanese, she is voiced by Yōko Hikasa. In the English dub, she is voiced by Erika Harlacher in the visual novels and Caitlin Glass in the anime.
What Makes Her A Seinen Hero?[]
- Heroic: She stopped Junko Enoshima from killing Makoto Naegi. In the anime, she did not reveal her forbidden action which would stop Makoto from doing anything rash.
- Stoic: She was almost emotionless throughout the game.
- Insightful: She is a literal detective and a detective has to be insightful.
- Tragic past: Her mother died when she was young and her grandfather raised her to despise her father, Jin Kirigiri, since he did not become a detective.
- Sophisticated/mature: She was the most emotionally mature character out of the cast of the first game.
- Realistic: She is pragmatic.
Trivia[]
- She, Maki Harukawa, Celestia Ludenberg, and Korekiyo Shinguji are currently the only Seinen Heroes in the danganronpa franchise.
