This Seinen Hero was Headlined on June 2024.

Kratos is the main protagonist of the God of War franchise. He is voiced by Terrence C. Carson in the Greek Era and Christopher Judge in the Norse Era.

What Makes Him a Seinen Hero?[]

  • Heroic/Anti-Heroic: Kratos has saved Norse World, Greece and all of Olympus from Ares and Zeus, even though most of his heroics were mainly motivated by vengeance against them for brainwashing him into killing his wife and daughter.
  • Cynical: After being manipulated by the gods into killing his own family, Kratos had grown to be distrustful of others.
  • Apathetic: Kratos is rarely concerned about the circumstances unless it involves his own goals or protecting his son Atreus.
  • Insightful: Kratos becomes a much wiser person and teaches Atreus to not make the same mistakes as he did.
  • Sophisicated/Mature: By the time of the Ragnarok era, Kratos matures into a calmer and collected person.
  • Strong Sense of Willpower: Kratos refuses to let go of his pursuits to complete his goals.
  • Has Anger Issues: During the Norse and Greek Eras, Kratos is prone to go on a blind rage.
  • Has Killer Instinct: Kratos shows no remorse in killing his enemies.
  • Tragic Past: Kratos unintentionally murdered his wife and daughter under the influence of the gods. When he realizes his mistake, he declared revenge against the gods.
  • Vengeful: He wanted to seek revenge against Ares and Zeus since they are indirectly responsible for his wife and daughter's deaths.
