What Makes Him a Seinen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Anti-Heroic: In The Simpsons Movie, Homer saves Springfield from a bomb alongside Bart.
- Cynical: Homer is rather distrustful when it comes to his neighbor Ned Flanders' intentions.
- Apathetic: Unless it involves his family or close friends, Homer is rather nonchalant towards the well-being of others.
- Realistic: Unlike his daughter Lisa, Homer has no interest in being an idealist and is content with being in the same position.
- Pessimistic: Homer has his moments of feeling down on his luck.
- Strong Sense of Willpower: While he is rather lazy under normal circumstances, Homer can be determined when he puts his mind and heart into anything he needs to do or passionate about.
- Has Anger Issues: Homer is rather hot-headed and violent to the point of choking Bart to discipline him.
- Lustful: Homer can sometimes be sex-crazed with his wife Marge.
- Tragic Past: When he was a little boy, his mother left him and his father didn't know how to raise him. This led to Homer developing abandonment issues and poor parenting skills.
- Vengeful: When someone did him wrong, Homer is quick to seek revenge against them.
