Golgo 13, also know as Duke Togo, is the titular main protagonist of the manga/anime series of the same name, created by Takao Saito.

What Makes Him a Seinen Hero?[]

  • Heroic/Anti-Heroic: Golgo has saved the world from murderous criminals, even though he only does so because he was hired to kill those criminals.
  • Cynical: Golgo tends to be suspicious of people's intentions.
  • Apathetic: As an assassin, Golgo doesn't show compassion towards anyone and is indifferent to many things.
  • Stoical: Golgo doesn't express his emotions openly.
  • Sophisticated/Mature: Golgo frequently acts like a gentleman outside of his work.
  • Strong Sense of Willpower: No matter how difficult the mission, Golgo will go through great lengths to accomplish it.
  • Has Killer Instinct: Golgo is an assassin and therefore has no issue with killing people without mercy.
  • Lustful: Golgo enjoys flirting with women and having sex with them.
  • Hard-Boiled: Golgo doesn't get phased by anything due to his lifestyle as an assassin.
