Alastor, also known as the Radio Demon, is one of the two tritagonists (along with Angel Dust) of the 2024 adult animated black comedy musical series Hazbin Hotel. He is a former serial killer in life who is the arch-rival of Vox and Lucifer and the most powerful Overlord in Hell. Even though he is mostly a rude and self-serving person who only cares about his happiness more than others, he is still not without his good traits and has even done a lot of heroic acts (with some of them being outright altruistic).

He is voiced by Amir Talai.

What Makes Him A Seinen Hero?[]

Heroic/Anti-Heroic: He taught Charlie how to kill angels, helped her recruit an army of cannibals to defend the hotel, nearly sacrificed himself to defeat Adam while fighting him personally and saved a female sheep demon from being raped as revealed in a webcomic.
Apathetic: Being an eternal smiler, he doesn't display any other emotions besides happiness no matter the situation.
Stoical: Outside of his brief breakdown upon almost dying at Adam's hands, he usually keeps his cool.
Insightful: He is shown to be distressed and uncomfortable about his deal with an unknown entity that owns his soul, wanting to break free from their control and "pull all the strings", which implies that he seemingly regrets agreeing to do something he never wanted to do.
Sophisticated/Mature: He has a very charismatic demeanor and is the epitome of an evil gentleman.
Strong Sense of Willpower: Even when he was almost killed by Adam, he regained his composure and returned to the hotel after his breakdown. Plus, even though he sees friendship as a weakness that can easily be disposed of, he still has faith in Charlie and even had Mimzy kicked out of the hotel upon learning she didn't agree with Charlie's goals.
Morally Ambiguous: His character flip-flops between a hero and a villain most of the time, with even his best deed (helping Charlie build a defensive army to protect the hotel residents) being done out of manipulation.
Has Killer Instinct: He took immense pleasure in torturing and killing numerous overlords, even broadcasting their screams on his radio show, and he devours any demons inferior to him, which is essentially cannibalism.
Has Bloodlust: He outright voiced his intent to end Adam's life before their fight.
Reckless: He survived the severe injuries he sustained during his battle with Adam since he's a major character.
Tragic Past: When he died, his soul was sold to a soon-to-be-known entity, which drove him mad.
Hard-Boiled: Due to his constant need to smile (which never once falters), he doesn't let his emotions get the best of him.
Has an Outfit with Black/Red/Blue: His outfit is 99% red.
Sociopathic/Psychopathic: He smiles creepily literally all the time and will sacrifice friendship for personal gain and sees it as a weakness.
Is an Edgelord: He has a very enigmatic and intimidating aura.
